After All, what’s more important than Afterschool?
Harlem Link’s After All Program encompasses on-site and partner-site after school programs for the Harlem Link Community. After All provides working families access to high-quality, tuition-free programming that fosters learning, ignites exploration, and activates citizenship. We believe that children need and deserve opportunities to grow beyond the school day. To this end, After All offers a positive, nurturing academic and social-emotional learning environment outside of school hours. The program is open to all Harlem Link students and runs three hours per day, Monday through Friday, throughout the academic year.
To our students, we are a space to explore academic and creative possibilities – possibilities that would not otherwise present themselves. To their families, we are a reprieve from the impossible choice between work and child care, a place where their children are safe, learning, and growing, even after the school day ends. In addition to homework help and school day continuance, we offer a culinary program, music, and dance workshops, fitness and wellness classes, fundraising activities such as a student-run craft fair, family movie nights, and project-based learning opportunities. We also have two school gardens, including a garden library and outdoor classroom, where students learn about growing fruits and vegetables, plant life cycles, even the bird and bug ecosystems of our neighborhood!
Your generosity not only allows us to continue providing this free programming to all of our students, but provides more space for students currently on a wait list, or bring in exciting new programming for our students to experience, such as Let’s Do Hair, Junior Master Chef, and Asphalt Green.
